Honoring The LSU College Of Agriculture Class Of 2025 At Fall Commencement

On Thursday, December 18, 2025, the LSU College of Agriculture proudly celebrated
108
new graduates during its fall commencement ceremony. The graduating class included
81
bachelor’s degree recipients, 19 master’s degree earners, and 8 doctoral graduates.
Students in the Class of 2025 represented 10 U.S. states and 11 countries, with 80 percent of the class coming from Louisiana. The majority of the class were female, and the average age of the class was in the early twenties. The youngest undergraduate was 20 years old, while the oldest undergraduate was 39. The youngest graduate student was 23 and the veteran graduate was 53.
In addition to celebrating degree completion, the ceremony recognized exceptional
academic
achievements and university honors. The LSU Distinguished Communicator designation
honors students who have gone above and beyond to refine their written, spoken, visual,
and technological communication skills. Students earning this recognition were Alivia
Quirk, advised by Annabelle Lang and Michael Wilcher, advised by Lisa Arcemont.

The college also honored its Les Voyageurs, student ambassadors who play an
essential role in recruitment and alumni relations. This year’s recognized ambassador
was Alivia Quirk.
Also celebrated at the ceremony was Second Lieutenant Madeline Haygood, who was commissioned
into the United States Army National Guard on December 17th. Following graduation,
she will join the 205th Engineer Battalion of the Louisiana National Guard in Hammond,
Louisiana.
The College of Agriculture extends heartfelt congratulations to each of its graduates
for
their hard work, resilience, and accomplishments. The Class of 2025 has left its mark
on
LSU and will continue to shape the future of agriculture around the world.
