 TAKE 12 STUDENT FILM FESTIVAL 
SUBMISSION  GUIDELINES

  •  Submissions are now open and can be made HERE.
  • Films being submitted must be have been completed anytime between January of 2025 & April of 2026.
  • Submission deadline is  April 13, 2026.
  • Submissions will be accepted through April 17, 2026;  however, submissions  received after this date are not guaranteed to be reviewed.
  • All submissions must include a link to Vimeo or YouTube.   
  • If your project is password protected, remember to include the password.
  • Submission is open to any genre except documentaries. 
  • A submission does not guarantee inclusion in the festival.
  • Run time must be between  2 minutes  and  13  minutes in length, including titles and credits.
  • If you are selected for the Festival, you will be notified by April 27, 2026. You will then be required provide a festival ready copy of your film and a digital poster for promotional purposes. These will be due no later than  April 29, 2026. Additional submission information will be given to those films that are accepted. If you do not meet this condition, your film will be dropped from the festival program.
  • One form = One Submission. If submitting multiple films, please complete a separate form for each submission.  No more than 3 films per person is allowed. 
  • If your film uses copyrighted material – you must show proof of clearance to be included in the festival program. 
  • If any selected film wishes to be included in the judging for “Best Screenplay”, email a copy of the screenplay directly to cstelly1@lsu.edu upon receiving notification that you are selected.  

AWARD ELIGIBILITY

Any film produced by an individual who is currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate of LSU or any Louisiana institution of higher education (university, college, community or technical college) or any student of a Louisiana institution of higher education who graduated in 2025 will be eligible for all of the awards including Best Picture and the Audience Award.
