The Quad at LSU: The Heart of Campus, both Lush and Inviting
January 01, 2023
The LSU Quadrangle, nicknamed "the Quad," is the heart of campus. Completed ahead of the campus' 1926 dedication, the Quad is the historic core of campus that holds the first group of campus structures built. It is lush with oaks, azaleas, crepe myrtles, and magnolia trees.
Today, the Quad serves as the campus' main walking thoroughfare, abuzz each day with students and faculty making their way to and from classes or pausing to chat with a friend or professor. For those in the know, it's easily the best place on campus to see and be seen.
