Rebecca’s community and philanthropic focus centers on education. She is Vice President of the Lake Charles Charter Academy Foundation which owns three school buildings educating PreK-12. She and her husband, Mark, provide hundreds of scholarships to students in the Lake Charles area. She is a trustee of the SOWELA Technical Community College Foundation. She serves on the Business Advisory Counsel for McNeese State University. She is Chair of the Women’s Health Counsel for CHRISTUS Ochsner Southwestern Louisiana. Rebecca was co-chair of Governor Elect Jeff Landry’s K-12 Transitional Council.
She is a member of the Republican Women of SWLA and Ellevate Louisiana. She was appointed by Governor Landry to the Board of Supervisors of Louisiana State University and Agricultural and Mechanical College.
Rebecca graduated from McNeese State University in 1995 and from LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center in 1998. Upon graduation, she served as a law clerk at the Third Circuit Court of Appeals. As an attorney, Rebecca handled asbestos litigation, class action and mass tort litigation including drug, medical devices, and automotive litigation.
