Thailyea Lopez
Residence Coordinator
I do this work in order to create a welcoming environment where students can grown personally and academically. The residence halls are a place where students get connected, study, and so much more. It is my hope that students think of the residence halls as a home away from home and they know that they have the support they need in order to thrive.
"I think living on campus has taught me how to be a part of a community and learn how you impact that community. It also teaches you to have healthy conflict and have productive conversations." -Thailyea
My favorite spot on campus
The student union, it has good coffee and food! Plus it is where you'll receive all of your mail/packages!
My favorite thing to do in Baton Rouge
Try new foods!! Since I've moved here I rarely eat at chain restaurants because Baton Rouge has so many options.
One thing I wish incoming first-year students knew is
As a first-generation college student, I really wish I knew about all of the resources that was available on campus. If you need help, ask, because someone can point you in the right direction!
