Human Sciences & Education Residential College

First-year students majoring in the College of Human Sciences & Education can live in Cypress Hall and take classes with the same group of peers, creating a smaller network within the larger LSU campus from day one.

The community offers an educational and social community for the broad spectrum of majors within the College of Human Sciences & Education, including tomorrow's researchers, social workers, counselors, teachers and principals, librarians, archivists, physical and human movement scientists, doctors, occupational and physical therapists, physician assistants, dentists, athletic trainers, sports administrators, higher education professionals, and human resource professionals.

Cypress Hall

As the first LEED-certified residence hall on campus, Cypress Hall is a leader in energy-efficiency with indoor-outdoor learning spaces, storm water recovery systems, interior bike storage rooms, energy-efficient mechanical systems, sustainable finishes, and solar demonstration systems. The building boasts beautiful indoor/outdoor courtyards, offices where faculty advisors hold office hours, an academic advisor on site, classrooms and an activity studio for kinesiology in the building, multiple study spaces, and large rec room.

Located on the west side of campus, Cypress is close to The 5 dining hall, the Greek Amphitheater, and the Enchanted Forest.
