Research Interests
Experimental Condensed Matter Physics
My current research focuses on understanding emergent properties of strongly correlated materials using a combination of experimental and theoretical approaches, including in-house single-crystal growth and physical property characterization, high-fidelity theoretical modeling using HPC, and neutron spectroscopy at Oak Ridge National Laboratory and user facilities around the world. Neutron scattering is a powerful experimental tool that can provide quantitative information on static and dynamic correlations between microscopic degrees of freedom. My group uses neutrons to study a broad range of topics such as quantum and classical spin liquids, frustrated magnets, magnetic excitations, multipolar bound-states, multiferroic materials, low-dimensional metal-organic frameworks, Hund's metals, spin density waves, and correlated structural disorders.
