Camille Cronin
Deputy Chief Justice
I have been interested in law since 8th grade. When my English teacher handed my group a yellow legal pad and named me head prosecutor for our mock trial assignment, I was sold. Researching, preparing, and arguing my case was both exciting and interesting at just 13 years old. I lost the case, but I loved the process.
I carried that same youthful passion all the way to LSU where I started in Student Government as a member of Freshman Leadership Council and a UCFY Senator. As much as I enjoyed the policy side of Student Government, my sights were set on the Judicial Branch where I took a Staff Counsel position.
As a member of the Judicial Staff, I was able to relive my 8th grade dreams during Election Court cases and close work with the Student Government Code. After successfully representing the Election Commission, I knew I was in the right place.
I am absolutely thrilled to be the branch's new Chief Justice. I cannot wait to get to work moving the branch forward while maintaining the structure the previous administration dutifully outlaid. Though this experience will be challenging and rigorous, it will be fun above all else.

I am a suprisingly good baker! I can bake almost anything, but beautifully decorated cakes are my specialty.
In the family
My grandfather's love for LSU is one of the biggest reasons I am here. He attended LSU and actually lived in the dorms in the stadium while he was here. I grew up going to LSU football games with him and have wanted to be a Tiger ever since!
