Levels of Membership
- Provisional Membership – Members are accepted provisionally and receive assistance and guidance during their
first semester while they are pursuing full membership
- Incoming first year students
- Attend Ready Set Geaux (fall) or Spring Orientation.
- Earn priority scheduling.
- Enroll in the SSS 1001 course and earn a C- or better.
- Upperclass students must
- Earn priority scheduling.
- Enroll in the SSS 1001 course and earn a C- or better. Exceptions may be offered to upperclassmen who have a 3.0 GPA.
- If provisional members are not able to meet the requirements, they may be offered to appeal their membership. If they do not appeal their membership, their SSS membership will be terminated and they will no longer receive services offered by SSS.
- Incoming first year students
- Full Membership – Provisional members who successfully complete the requirements listed for their first semester will transition to full membership and will continue to receive services throughout their academic career at LSU.
