Career Coach
Graduating LSU with my master’s was a dream come true. LSU was something that always united me and my family, whether it was attending LSU or rooting for them to win National Championships. During my time at LSU, the university grew to mean so much more to me. It became the place where I found my place in the world. LSU validated my love for working in higher education by reminding me of how important college can be in someone’s life.
I am passionate about career exploration because it is a part of discovering who you want to be and what you want your legacy to be. Everyone’s career pathway is unique. It allows for individuality and creativity. It also creates space for students to explore, discover, and implement their dreams. Throughout their journey students start to grow into the people they were destined to become. The fact that I get to be such a small part of that journey gets me excited to come to work every single day.

Questions for days
I love asking people hypothetical questions. I feel like you learn a lot about people by just asking them silly questions. My favorite question to ask people is what 3 fast food restaurants they would want if they were stuck on a deserted island for the rest of their life. My answer to this question is Panera Bread, Jersey Mikes, and Chick-Fil-A.
In another life
I would open up my own bakery. I absolutely love experimenting in the kitchen. My specialty would be royal icing cookies. The name of the bakery would be “S’macks Bakery” because most people call me Mack. The bakery would also be a candy/ice cream shop because I am obsessed with all things sour candy and ice cream.
Lights, camera, action
I absolutely love going to the movies. It is one of my favorite places to be. There is just something so wholesome and nostalgic about showing up to the movies, getting a large popcorn and blue raspberry Icee, and sneaking in all your favorite candy. My husband always gets me a movie membership for Christmas, and we go every year on my birthday.
