How to Utilize the Testing Center

Ready to use the Disability Services Testing Center at LSU? Here’s what you need to know:

Step One: Register First

Make sure you’re registered with Disability Services to get your testing accommodations.

Step Two: Submit Exam Requests

* Please note that university holidays do count as business days when determining exam request deadlines.

Law Center must register for accommodations at least 10 business days before the first day of exams begin to receive testing accommodations.

Need a make-up? This can be approved based on Disability Services and your faculty's discretion. DS will only proctor make-up exams on Monday and Tuesdays. Communicate any changes through the Student Access Portal.

Important: Exam Request Cancellations

If you miss three exam appointments, "no show" without notifying Disability Services, you may lose your testing accommodations. To regain privileges, you’ll need to meet with your Access Coordinator.

Testing Hours

  • Exams should be taken at the same time as your class unless you have prior faculty approval.
  • Testing must occur during our business hours: 8 a.m. - 6 p.m., Monday to Friday.
  • Make sure to complete all exams by 6 p.m. (except finals).

Academic Integrity

Our Testing Center uses video monitoring to ensure a fair testing environment that aligns with the Student Code of Conduct.

Any indication of academic dishonesty will be reported to your faculty and Student Advocacy and Accountability for review.

Faculty Guidelines

Testing Agreement

Testing Agreements can be completed at the semester’s start to apply to all students who have requested accommodations for the particular course(s) and section(s), even if a student has not yet submitted an exam request. Information required from faculty for a Testing Agreement includes, but is not limited to:

  • Exam date and time or testing window
  • Time allowed for the test
  • Special instructions or materials needed*
  • Exam pick-up method
    • Option 1: Secure upload to the Faculty Access Portal
    • Option 2: Pick-up from the Testing Center

*If you prefer to proctor your exams, indicate this on the Testing Agreement.

Modifications can be made to the Testing Agreement at anytime during the semester.
