The School of Kinesiology provides undergraduate and graduate programs for students interested in fields related to sport and health. We offer two bachelor’s degrees: the Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology (with multiple professional preparation tracks) and the Bachelor of Science in Sport Administration. We are the declared academic major for 3,000+ LSU students. We offer unique experiences in laboratory classes, field experiences and internships that give students hands-on experiences that prepare them for the workplace and for advanced studies. We also have the only undergraduate cadaver lab in Louisiana. Graduates go on to successful careers in the health and fitness industry, corporate wellness, sport agencies and businesses, athletic administration, and K-12 educational settings. Additionally, students can complete requirements for entry in professional and graduate programs including physical therapy, occupational therapy, physician assistant, medical school, respiratory therapy and other allied health programs. 

At the graduate level, we offer a Master of Science in Kinesiology with three areas of specialization: exercise physiology, motor behavior, and behavioral, psychological, and pedagogical sciences, as well as a Doctor of Philosophy in Kinesiology in these concentrations plus one in Sport Management. We also have a Master of Science in Athletic Training. Our Bachelor of Kinesiology, Bachelor of Sport Administration and Master of Science in Sport Management are available on-campus and online. We have outstanding faculty who are recognized for high quality teaching, world-class research and service.   

The School of Kinesiology is a member of the American Kinesiology Association.
